itHz

itHz spends the wee hours of the night in a dark room experimenting with various methods to create, record, and manipulate sounds. Results come from spontaneous improvisation, self-collaboration, and premeditated tweaking.

Experiments have been collected over the years using keyboards, sound modules, drum machines, software packages, tapes, mini-discs, and digital audio recordings. These sounds provide sources for future recordings and self-collaboration as they are cut-up, combined and remixed. recordings of collaborations and trading of sound files creates additional layering and sonic mutation.

itHz has used a few software packages over the years to remix sounds and create tracks. early experimentations were done with [sound forge](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sound_Forge) but today itHz primarily uses [ableton live](http://www.ableton.com/).
